Payal Tiwari Bitiya Foundation
Short Film Festival 2025
Welcome to the Bitiya Foundation Shortfilm festival 2025, a platform where creativity meets purpose. We are more than just a short film festival. We are a movement dedicated to raising social awareness through the power of storytelling. Our festival provides a stage for filmmakers to showcase their perspectives on crucial social issues, inspiring change and sparking conversations that matter
Our Mission
Powered by the Bitiya Foundation and the Punit Balan Group, we aim to create an inclusive space where artists, visionaries, and changemakers can amplify their voices. Our mission is to harness the power of cinema to educate, inspire, and mobilize communities toward meaningful action.
What We Stand For
Women's Rights & Empowerment
We strongly believe in empowering women by advocating for gender equality, safety, and opportunities in every sphere of life. Through this festival, we encourage films that highlight women’s challenges, triumphs, and aspirations—stories that inspire a more equitable society.
Uplifting the Youth
The future lies in the hands of the younger generation. We strive to provide them with platforms that not only recognize their talent but also nurture their potential. By encouraging young filmmakers to share their stories, we foster confidence, creativity, and a sense of responsibility toward social change.
Creating Opportunities
Every voice deserves to be heard, and every vision deserves a chance to shine. Our festival serves as a launchpad for emerging filmmakers, giving them a global platform to showcase their work, connect with industry professionals, and gain recognition for their dedication to social awareness.
Fostering Growth & Building a Stronger Community
True change comes from collective effort. We are committed to bringing together artists, activists, and audiences to engage in meaningful dialogue. By supporting independent filmmakers who shed light on pressing social issues, we aim to build a community that is informed, compassionate, and driven to make a difference.

Our goal is to inspire today’s youth to bring critical issues to society through filmmaking, helping them build their careers while also spreading awareness among the public.
All submitted short films will be screened, and a jury will select the best films. We will present six awards (three in each category), along with two special encouragement awards. Winners will receive a memento, a certificate, and an attractive gift, such as a high-quality camera or smartphone.
For the evaluation process, we will invite professional jury members to scrutinize the films. Finally, the award ceremony will take place the day after the screenings
